Defeating Usue Maitane Arconada, Aldila Sutjiadi Next to Second Round WTA Charleston

arayanaNews.com, Atlanta, July 28 2021 Indonesian womens tennis player, Aldila Sutjiadi, immediately kicked off the WTA (Women's Tennis Association -ed) Charleston 125K tournament which took in Charleston, United States. The girl who was born in Jakarta, in the first round made a surprise by overthrowing the eighth seed, Usue Maitane Arconada.

In the match which was stopped due to rain around the arena, the LTP Mt. Pleasant, Charleston, Tuesday (27 July 2021) evening (Indonesia lokal time). Dila beat the host tennis player in straight sets. Dila won with a score of 7-5, 6-3. 

"Thank God, in R-32 WTA 125K CHARLESTON, Aldila managed to beat Usue Maitane Arconada (Seed-8) with a score of 7-5 6-3. Thank you for your attention and support." said Indriatno Sutjiadi, as Dila's father to Ayotenis.id. 

With this result, Dila has the right to advance to the second round of the tournament titled "LTP Women's Open". The member of the East Java tennis PON (National Sports Week) team in the next round will face another Uncle Sam's country tennis player, Maria Mateas, who in the first round defeated her compatriot, Louisa Chirico. Maria eliminated Louisa in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. 

In this tournament with a total prize of 125,000 US dollars or approximately Rp. 1.8 billion, Dila not only competed in the singles number, but also appeared in the doubles, paired with the New Apartament tennis player, Erin Routliffe. 

Dila/Erin, who in this tournament were placed as the first seeds, did not bother to advance directly to the Quarterfinals because in the first round they received a bye. 

In the last eight, the pair will compete against Asian doubles pair, Han Na-Lae from South Korea and Peangtarn Plipuech from Thailand. Han Na-Lae/Peangtarn Plipuech also went straight to the quarterfinals because they got a bye in the previous round.
