Aldila Sutjiadi, Beatrice Gumulya and Priska Madelyn Nugroho Defeat Their Opponents

arayanaNews.com, Atlanta, July 29 2021 After shocking the first round of the Charleston 125K WTA (Womens Tennis Association -ed) tournament, by defeating the eighth seed, Usue Maitane Arconada from the United States, in the second round Aldila Sutjiadi was challenged by Maria Mateas who is also a tennis player from Uncle Sam's country.

As we previously reported, Dila has the right to advance to the second round of the tournament titled "LTP Women's Open", after she made a surprise trip to the eighth seed, Usue Maitane Arconada. 

Compete at the LTP Mt. Pleasant, Charleston, Tuesday (27 July 2021) evening WIB, Dila caught the host tennis player in straight sets 7-5, 6-3. 

Not only playing in singles, in this tournament with a total prize of 125,000 US dollars or approximately Rp. 1.8 billion, Dila will also play in doubles. The beautiful girl who was born in May will appear in pairs with New Zealand tennis player, Erin Routliffe. 

Dila/Erin, who in this tournament were placed as the first seeds, immediately stepped into the quarter-finals without having to bother, because they got a bye. 

In the last eight, Dila/Erin will face the challenges of the gado-gado pair, Han Na-Lae from South Korea and Peangtarn Plipuech from Thailand. 

Like Dila/Erin, Han Na-Lae/Peangtarn Plipuech also advanced to the quarterfinals because they received a bye in the previous round. Meanwhile, two other Indonesian women's tennis players, Beatrice Gumulya and Jessy Priscila Rompies, faced each other in the WTA 125 Belgrade tournament which was taking place in Serbia. They fought with their respective partners in the first round of doubles. 

Competing on Tuesday (27 July 2021), Beatrice Gumulya in a duet with Belarusian tennis player, Shalimar Talbi, defeated Jessy Rompies who was paired with Elena Bogdan from Romania. 

Beatrice Gumulya/Shalimar Talbi beat Jessy Rompies/Elena Bogdan through a rubber set battle that ended with a score of 6-1, 3-6, 10-4. 

Another member of the Indonesian women's tennis National Team (Timnas) currently competing in Europe is Priska Madelyn Nugroho. The girl born in 2003 is currently participating in the ITF (International Tennis Federation) W15 Vejle tournament, in Vejle, Denmark. In the first round of the tournament with a total prize of 15,000 US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 217 million, Priska managed to beat the Dutch tennis player, Annick Melgers.

Competing on Wednesday (28 July 2021) WIB, Priska defeated the world number 1175 in straight sets 6-2, 7-5. 

Next in the second round, Priska had to face fifth seed from Japan, Eri Shimizu, who in the first round managed to beat Denmark's Emma Kamper Malmkjaer in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. 

In the tournament which will take place from July 26 to August 1, 2021, apart from competing in singles, Priska also appears in doubles, paired with South Korean tennis player, Park Sohyun.
