Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu Wins Gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Indonesian Tennis Women's Doubles Are Happy & Congratulations

arayanaNews.com, Tokyo, August 2, 2021 - Indonesia's flagship Badminton two heroes Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu today made history with gold ink at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Women's doubles at the biggest sporting event in the world.

GreyReady/Apriyani are entitled to receive a gold medal, following their victory in the final against China's top doubles pair, Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan. 

Fighting at Mushashino Forest Sport Plaza, Tokyo, Monday (August 2 2021) in the afternoon (Indonesia lokal time), Greysiap/Apriyani knocked out the Bamboo Curtain country in two straight games, 21-19 and 21-15. In the first set, 

Greysiap/Apriyani shot to a 4-1 lead over Chen Qin Chen/Jia Yia Fan until they were romp in 8-8 and 11-11 positions. 

Had a 17-14 lead, the position of numbers continued to be chased until the position was 20-19 for the advantage of the Red and White pair. Greysiap/ Apriyani finally managed to lock the first set with 21-19. 

In the second set, Greysiap/Apriyani seemed to dominate the match, they were finally able to finish off Chen Qin Chen/Jia Yia Fan's resistance with 21-15, as well as ensure the gold medal in their hands. 

Although this pair was not targeted for a medal, but in the end it made a surprise by giving a gold medal in the midst of the failure of a number of other Indonesian badminton players. They also made history as the first Indonesian women's doubles pair to win a medal. Unmitigated, the first medal from the women's doubles number was Gold. 

Congratulations also poured in from various circles, including from fellow athletes from almost all sports, including tennis. 

The pairs of Indonesian girls doubles from, Beatrice Gumulya and Jessy Priskila Rompies, who are the same as Greysiap/Apriyani, also presented a gold medal for Indonesia at the 2019 SEA Games, they were happy to welcome their partner's success, even though they are in different sports.
